Mr. Chris Foley, the principal of Penacook Elementary School, passed away this morning surrounded by family and loved ones. Acting principal Ms. Jennifer Moore sent the following communication out to the Penacook Elementary School community this morning:
Dear Penacook Elementary Families,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Mr. Foley's passing. Mr. Foley passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his loving family.
We anticipate that some students will have difficulty understanding and coping with his loss, and have arranged to have additional counselors and staff at PES tomorrow, and in the coming days, to help support both students and staff.
The Penacook Elementary Community is a close-knit family who will lean on one another as we mourn the loss of Principal Foley. Please feel free to contact me if your child is struggling to cope with this news, so we can provide him/her with additional support.
I will be sure to communicate the details of the arrangements as soon as they become available, as I know many of you will want to pay your respects. In the meantime, please feel free to deliver any sentiments for the Foley Family to Penacook Elementary School. I will be coordinating with Lindsey to make sure she receives them. Right now we ask that you respect the family's need for privacy as they work through this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Foley family.
